As the anti encroachment drive continued, 300 more shops were destroyed in Saddar, Karachi. This included a bus terminal and a restaurant. Mayor Wasim Akhtar said that with the help of other authorities and organizations, the hardest encroachments were removed. He asked the shopkeepers to remove their belongings or they themselves would be responsible for their loss. It was said by the metropolitan commissioner that 122 shops built along the Katrik road, 50 shops on the Preedy street, 20 offices, an inter city bus terminal, a restaurant, 8 shops built on Aga khan road were demolished.
