The Prime Minister of AJK, Sardar Tanveer Ilyas Khan has announced to launch a bullet train between Azad Kahsmir’s Muzaffarabad and Islamabad. The announcement was made in his recent address at the AJK legislative assembly where he also showed his intent to establish a fully facilitated hospital for the people of AJK.
Although further details about the bullet train project are yet to be revealed but it is expected to be a fast-tracked and modern development project in Azad Jammu & Kashmir. 
The project will be a phenomenal lead in covering the distance between the two cities and would help people in travelling fast and economically. The bullet train has a significant role in tackling the travel issues for the people of AJK due to the lack of a properly scheduled public transport.
Various other projects are also expected to initiate in AJK including the establishment of an airport, special economic zone for women empowerment, and a 500-bed hospital with modern healthcare facilities.
