ISLAMABAD: The enforcement team of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), backed by Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, was called off Friday from Bahria Enclave without starting operation to retrieve 510 kanals of state land.

After its notice to Bahria Enclave expired on Nov 16, Capital Development Authority was ready to conduct a massive operation but when the team got onsite, it was called back.

Heavy contingent of police as well as the city administration officials and concerned authorities reached the site. But the team was called back later day.

CDA issued the housing society notice on Nov 9, 2018 to vacate 510 kanals in a week

Sources said that there was a meeting on Friday between Bahria , CDA and Islamabad Capital Territory administration. However, no confirmation was given.

CDA official said the operation was postponed as a strategy and claimed there were chances of a brawl with the locals. 

Several houses, commercial complexes and guest house have been constructed on the remaining 100 kanals and that these buildings were already served warning notices
