Massive Property tax hike for Islamabad residents

Islamabad ICT property owners have witnessed record increase in property tax in recent days.

Tax hike has been approved by the Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation MCI in recent months and the increased tax has been posted to property owners addresses with immediate pay date due.

Metropolitan said that property taxes were not amended for almost two decades, there the tax hike is justifiable. This tax includes property and water and credited to Capital Development Authority CDA account.

Residents are surprised on sudden huge increase and facing difficulties to manage this hefty payment 

Due to two tax collection departments CDA and Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation, Federal government would decide mutual distribution procedure, said CDA Spokeperson.
