The citizens of Capital City of Islamabad are not joyful with the news of Monal being permanently shut down anytime soon.
Monal is one of the biggest attractions for the tourists in Islamabad that serves country’s best food with the mesmerizing city views. Not many people know that the restaurant was built on lease land on Margalla Hills which is now demanded back by the owner of the property. The CDA officials have announced that the space is now being vacated and ready to hand over to the holder.
This swift news of closing of Monal has made citizens feel cynical as people have many feelings attached to this place.
Monal restaurant was built in 2005 in CDA property. The restaurant operation was leased for 10 years. Captial Development Authority official told that space is now being vacated and handover to the property owner - Pakistan army.
