Prime Minister Pakistan Imran Khan will launch country’s biggest tree plantation campaign on this Sunday targeting around 3.5 million trees to plant in a day across the country.
“I want everyone to join me tomorrow, 9 Aug, in planting trees all over Pak. Have asked my MPs, ministers, Chief Ministers and Tiger Force to participate in the biggest tree planting campaign in our history. The target is 35 lakh trees in a day though we will try to exceed it”. Prime minister Imran khan tweeted.
Prime Minister also asked the parliamentarians ministers, Provincial Chief ministers and Tiger Force volunteers to participate in the biggest tree planting ever campaign in the history of Pakistan
“The target is 35 lakhs trees in a single day however we will try to exceed it,” Prime minister Imran Khan said
The government has announced to observe August 9 as the Tiger Force Day across Pakistan when over a million volunteers along with government would plant trees as part of 10 Billion Tree Tsunami initiative in the country.
As per plan, around 2 millions saplings, trees, seedings would be planted in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1.20 million in Punjab, About 300,000 in Sindh, 57,000 in AJK, 15,000 in Balochistan and 11,500 in Gilgit Baltistan to make country green and tackle environmental changes
